The “Cooper's Reserve” AuchentoshanWhisky 14 Years is a single malt whisky, a symbol of the great Scottish artisan history and an eminent representative of the cosmopolitan suburbs of Glasgow. Born from Clydebank, a town at the north of the River Clyde, it boasts centuries of tradition, which began in 1823 and is characterized by a broad look culture that made unique the Auchentoshan processing. First, one must note the choice of a triple distillation, in opposition to the traditional double one, thanks to the three distillery's stills: touching the spirit's heart, it is possible to select a high level of soft purity. Second, the decision of placing the whisky for 14 years in North America bourbon casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks shows a deep understanding of the effects of certain woods on the spirit. The maturation in these barriques evolves the personality of the whisky in a pleasant lightness and a lovely delicacy, whose flavors are balanced and alcohol grade is higher than usual, actually, the highest of Scotland.
