The Sforzato della Valtellina "Ronco del Picchio" by Fay is an amazing wine, which offers a rich nose, ripe, extremely pleasant, dominated by the elegance of the notes of plums and figs, and where the structure and elegance mingle life in a truly excellent product. The "Ronco del Picchio" borns in the vineyard of San Gervasio, in the heart of the Valtellina, at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level; altitude that gives significant temperature variations; a vineyard selected after 4 years of experimentation, to produce their own grape with a great propensity for drying. Withering for Sforzato "Ronco del Picchio" by Fay that continues, in small boxes, between the harvest in October and mid-December; then fermented in stainless steel for 20 days, staying to macerate on the lees for at least 10 days before being transferred for 12 months in barrique. The result is a great Sforzato della Valtellina, full, rich, complex and really elegant. A beautiful expression of the potential that is able to offer the Valtellina.
