Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco "Cratere Bianco" by Cantine Astroni represents a bottle with a graceful but intense mineral character, perfect as a pleasant everyday drink. This Neapolitan winery is run by the Varchetta family, which has been involved in winemaking for over a century. The passion and oenological technique, as well as the love for this extraordinary territory, have been passed down from generation to generation since the end of the 19th century and, on this basis, the family founded Cantine Astroni in 1999, committed to the protection and enhancement of Campania's ampelography.

Cantine Astroni "Cratere Bianco" Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco is made from a blend of the indigenous Caprettone and Falanghina vines, which are grown in the Vesuvian countryside on sandy soil. Harvesting is carried out by hand and the crushed grapes are then placed in pre-fermentative cryomaceration before alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks for 2 weeks. The subsequent period of elevation takes place in steel on the fine lees for several months before bottling.

The nose evokes aromas of white-fleshed fruit and herbs, associated with mineral effluvia that recall saline notes and chalky textures. By virtue of its remarkable territorial adherence, 'Cratere Bianco' can accompany traditional Neapolitan dishes of light to medium structure, such as frittata di pasta or casatiello.
