Champagne Brut 'Carte Noire' Louis Huot

Brut "Carte Noire" is a classic Champagne, made from the traditional blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the area southwest of Épernay, in the Vallée de la Marne. It is the calling card of the small Maison Louis Hout, the label that best represents its style and taste, elegant and fresh, floral and fruity. A perfect Champagne to enjoy in company during an aperitivo.

Louis Huot's "Carte Noire" Champagne is born from the skilful blending of Pinot Meunieur (50 percent), which imparts soft and intense fruity notes, Chardonnay (25 percent), which gives the proverbial touch of elegance and floral finesse, and Pinot Noir (25 percent), which is responsible for structure, freshness and persistence. To ensure the same standard over the years, a 35 percent proportion of reserves is added to the vintage wines. This creates the right balance to the blend, giving the Champagne impeccable taste consistency. After manual harvesting, the grapes are sent to temperature-controlled white vinification. Once the aging period for the vins clairs is over, the cuvée is created by blending the vintage wines with the reserve wines, and then re-fermentation in the bottle with resting on the lees for at least 36 months before dégorgement.
